ON OUR WAY TO THE CATHEDRAL OF SPEED: RED BULL GASGAS TECH3 READY FOR MOTUL TT ASSEN ACTION!

After three weeks of break used to recharge the batteries, the Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 is ready to go for a new doubleheader before the summer break, as the championship is traveling to the Netherlands this week for the Motul TT Assen at the iconic Cathedral of Speed, which will remain on the calendar until 2031 after the agreement between MotoGP™ and the circuit was extended for another six years recently. Red Bull GASGAS Tech3’s Pedro Acosta and Augusto Fernandez will be excited to fly the GASGAS flag high at one of the fans favorite, where the atmosphere and the passion for motorcycling never go unnoticed.

Having headed to the spring break on a strong performance in Mugello with a sprint medal and a solid top 5 finish, rookie Pedro Acosta will be more motivated than ever to reunite with his RC16 and feel again the adrenaline of racing. Round after round since the start of the season, the young Spaniard has amazed everyone including his team by his quick adaptation to the main class, becoming a consistent contender able to challenge the top guys every weekend. Looking at the stats, Acosta has only two rounds left to become the youngest rider to win a MotoGP™ race and beat Marc Marquez’s record. It is with no doubt that the shark will head to the TT Assen with that in a small corner of his head.

Augusto Fernandez took the opportunity of these three weeks to train hard and heal his small injuries to come back fully fit as he enters a key period for his career. It was announced during the small break that Fernandez will not be with the Tech3 team in 2025, but we still have thirteen rounds left together. The Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 squad is determined to continue giving everything to Augusto to help him show his true potential on track. A good way to start this new part of the season is heading to Assen, one of Augusto’s favorite layouts of the year. With the TT inked on his forearm, the Dutch race track holds a special place in Fernandez’ heart, as he took his first win in Grand Prix back in 2019 when he was a Moto2™ rider. Last season, he finished in the top 10 in his rookie year in the premier class, and he will for sure be eager to improve his performance.

Don’t miss a single session of a busy weekend of racing in the Netherlands, as Pedro Acosta and Augusto Fernandez will begin their Dutch campaign on Friday morning with Free Practice 1 at 10:45 local time (GMT+2), followed later on in the day by the one hour-Practice session, kicking off at 15:00. On Saturday, Red Bull GASGAS Tech3’s captains will fight for a good grid position as qualifying begins at 10:50 LT, just after a final Free Practice 2 of half an hour. At 15:00 in the afternoon, the MotoGP™ grid will line up for the Tissot Sprint (13 laps), an appetizer of Sunday’s main race scheduled at 14:00 (GMT+2). Can Pedro Acosta become the new youngest rider to ever win a MotoGP™ race? Let’s find out!

"Finally we have competition again! These breaks are good to disconnect and train hard, but I miss racing a lot, so I'm looking forward to Assen. I've been training hard and preparing for these races before the summer break. Assen is a circuit that I like, with a beautiful track and a spectacular atmosphere, we will see how we feel on Friday and how the weekend evolves. Little by little we are adapting more and more to the bike, which is noticeable in the consistency, especially on Saturdays. We are really looking forward to racing at the Cathedral and this year we have MOTUL as our main sponsor, who will surely organize a lot of activities for all the fans. See you there!"

"After three weeks, I am happy to finally get back on the MotoGP bike and go racing. This time off was good to disconnect a bit, while training and preparing as much as we could for these two races before the summer break, which are going to be important. We start with the Netherlands, at the TT Assen, one of my favorite tracks on the calendar. Our performance in 2023 was not bad, so let’s see what we can do this week.”

"We have been pretty busy during this small break with our 2025 news, but it is finally time to get back to racing, with the traditional back-to-back Assen-Sachsenring, although usually we start with Germany. This week will be important for us, as MOTUL will be the title sponsor of the MOTUL TT Assen, and at Red Bull GASGAS Tech3, we all would like to shine in front of our partner and guests. Every weekend, we have been more and more amazed by Pedro Acosta, he had a solid weekend in Mugello with a sprint medal and a top 5 finish on a difficult circuit, but he wants more, especially for the next two races, so let’s see how he manages Assen. Augusto Fernandez has used this little break to cure some physical problems which were with him since the start of the season, and he will arrive fully fit for one of his favorite weekends of the year. The next few rounds are going to be very important for him, but he arrives in good form to show his potential and secure the best future possible.”
